I thought it was awesome !!!

Now granted I have a great, great affinity for the Mini Cooper, but it, in the words of Buddy Hackett in "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world", ; "It just sailed out there !"

From an engineering standpoint it is not easy to do what they did.

From a pratical standpoint I wouldn't mind applying what they did to the next car that steals my parking spot.

or ...

for some reason I am growing to hate PT Cruisers.... It would look cool to see one of those flying off into the distance ....

That is my unsolicited $0.02

Master Blasters did a much better job than that hack Jesse James did with his snowmobile MINI Cooper.

Maybe you hate PT Cruisers because people keep thinking our MINIs are PT Cruisers, even though they look nothing alike?

I wonder what its 0-60 times were, and how fast it's 1/4 mile was... You could use that to calculate RRHP (Rear Rocket Horsepower).

It freakin FLEW though, If the parachute had gone off early enough, it would have landed no problemo, thats what the tail helped do, balance it out.

I didn't get to watch it until this morning (I love DVR). I thought the show was kinda hokey. But the end result was spectacular.

There is no such thing as bad free press. As long as the product is recognizable it will sell.

Were they new cars? If you look the blue one was red inside of the bonnet and when they took out the seats it was red inside of there also. I figured they were junked MINI's made to look half way decent. They also didn't have engines.

They sold the engine and transmission out of both.

I would have liked to see the parachute deploy on the blue MINI though. . .
Amen. Maybe not as cool as the Monster Garage snowmobile, but seeing the blue one take off was amazing. A soft landing would have been nice, though.

Launching a lame car via rocket motor is nowhere near as cool as launching a cool car.
