Check the 'electronics' forum for more alarm info.

The MINI alarm does have a motion sensor, but it will not go off when some jerk decides to litter on your car. It has an interior motion sensor which would detect if someone broke your window, or attempted to enter your alarmed car with the windows down. It also has a tilt sensor for protection against towing or tire stealing.

You can save yourself $200+ if you install the alarm yourself. Or $100 if I do it.

Really? How do you do a self-install? Is there a guide somewhere?

The motoringfile instructions make it incredibly easy. It's incredibly easier than that if you have small fingers (to get the alarm body bolted in.)
The MINI is all pre-wired so it's a total plug and play (w/ dealer activation.)
