Presenting.....Boo!

Dah dah dah dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
As some of you know, my esteemed better half and myself picked up my new S on Saturday morning at 10:30am EST. I think only now is it really setting in that this car belongs to me. I am completely in love.

Without further ado....I give you....Boo.

At the dealership...

Sam loves her, too.

My daddy and me...my dad is a big MINI fan! (And I wore that airbag sticker on my chest for much of the day.)

Gahhh...so new!

Some random shots from pick-up day...

Right now I am the proud owner of 2 MINIs...(essentially making us a 3 MINI family for just a moment). Either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, I will be taking the stock wheels off the S and replacing them with the Mille Miglias that are currently on my Cooper. They don't necessarily fit the color scheme I'm going for, but I got a good offer on the Cooper if I put MINI wheels back on it. This way, it will save me money on buying new tires for the stock rims that came on my Cooper and my S won't look completely stock anymore. Then later I will sell the Milles after I get my new aftermarket wheels.

The Cooper gets sold tomorrow, so I can enjoy them parked outside next to each other for one more day. They are friends already.

Awesome, congratulations!

And congrats on getting an offer on the Cooper, too! Hope that all pans out.

Enjoy the new ride...

Thanks, guys!!
I hope everything is easy from here on out...this whole car selling experience has been pretty stressful. As you well know, Chris.

By the way...would you like to trade or barter for your MINI? I could do some landscaping for you....

So how many miles does Boo have under her belt after a few days of ownership?

Did Sam bring his mini? it'd be cute to have pics of all 3!

Sam's MINI is back in Cali in the garage while he's on tour. It would have been awesome to get all 3 of them together though...I agree.

As of this morning she has a big 310 miles on her (we took a road trip down to VA and DC on Sunday and I returned last night).

I like the all-PW look - very clean. Are you going to paint the black trim to go full monochrome like your sig?

Sweet PW MINI. The scene of the old MC and the new MCS reminds me of this pic I took when I picked up my MCS.

Please tell Sam --no more fingerprints on your MCS. Glad you are going to California--if you stayed in VA, and came outside after it snowed, you wouldn't be able to find your car. Enjoy.

Lauren,

It's so cleeeeaannn. How do you like the additional power? Good thing you racked up some miles...the break-in period hopefully won't take too long now. Any of the new '05 interior changes that you like or don't like?

What are the mod plans...or are they secrets?

I won't be doing anything other than wheels and antenna swapping before I move to Cali...once I get out there she is a blank canvas.

As far as interior changes are concerned, I'm a huge fan of the ambient LED's and the fact that they've integrated the clock into the speedo with the trip odometer. The hardest thing to get used to is where the stereo controls are located on the steering wheel now...I'm used to changing CD tracks/volume from the back of the wheel instead of the front.

I still have yet to really give the paddle shifters a go. I want to wait until the break-in period is over before I start playing around with that. I'm doing another little roadtrip next weekend, so by then I should be able to really get her moving. All I know is that she really wants to GO and I can't let that happen. Yet.

They aren't permanent, but they work for now.
