The sneaky part probably has nothing to do with the information on BMW recommended fuel. That's good to know.

What is "bad form" is putting a web site up w/o proper documentation. It raises questions in a world (the internet) that is (in)famous for "questionable" information. The total lack of authorship information on the web site is a very bad, even unprofessional, step if we are expected to believe its contents. That absence is the only problem, but it opens a pandora's box of questions. With proper documentation, that wouldn't have even happened. A perfect example.

 Man, MINI owners are so paranoid that someone's trying to screw them. This is obviously a communist plot designed to weaken our basic moral structure so they can eventually take over the world
Gas is gas. Has to be the same by law.(can vary per state, but that's a story for another day)
Every major brand has additives that are the same with different names.
Gulf is the only major brand that is generic.
I work at an EXXONMOBIL terminal that supplies thousands of stations.
It's all the same when it comes off the ship. When the trucks load major brands(mobil, exxon shell etc.) additives are injected into the loading lines.
