You still have grooves in your tires? Hard cornering takes care of that, in short order. Then nothing gets stuck in them.

As an added bonus, worn tires are also an effective deterrent to driving in the icky, dirty rain!

Maybe it's time to start an on-line MAA chapter.... MINI Addicts Annonymous.

Repeat after me, "My name is ______ , and I'm a addicted to my MINI."

But, with runflats, how will you ever have occasion to experience the joy of trying to clean that green tire sealer goop stuff from between the beads of a wheel after a chance encounter with a road hazard?

I must say - that is just nutty!

Anyone else care to share any dumb, obsessive MINI-related task you squandered 10 minutes of your life away doing? (Just so I don't feel so lonely, I mean)
just to let you know, when i picked up my car the salesman told me that MINI warrantees that item. he said it was originally put on as a goof and that the dealerships were expected to take them off, but people wanted them on and kept coming back to have them fixed when they popped off. so, now they stock them at the dealership for when they fall off.

And as previosly stated in this thread I too feel like an under achiever, I only wash&wax once a week plus when dust gets on the hatch.

Hahahaha. That's hilarious!

1 question though... is it considered child abuse to hand to give your 2 1/2 year old a paper towel so he can help clean the wheels??? It wasn't me who did this... it was a friend! I swear!

When it comes to my cars I've often heard it said ( I don't think I was suppose to hear it said) " I don't know what your problem is, but I'm sure it's hard to pronounce." I too run out in between rain storms to dry my car off, I pull the wheels off once a month to clean the backsides, I even clean & dress the inner wheelwells (I think that's a word) anyway I think you get it, I'm **** squared. :impatient

I got my MINI in August and am now in the middle of the "winter crud" with Gromit. Last time I waxed him, a little wax got on the black trim, and the longer it is there, the more it grows and spreads.

I had decided to try the painter's tape next time around. My wife just rolls her eyes and says I've lost my mind. At least I'm not alone.

I think your "friend" is probably safe. But even though I had given him a sponge, my 3 year old once decided to use a rock to clean the passenger-side door. Ouch.

My other vehicles were older years and air bags were not part of the package, when I got my first MINI, I sat there for about 15 minutes flipping the visor up and down...my husband, as patient as he is, reached his limit and asked me what I was doing? I told him to read the lable on the visor...the airbag warning..."...just how do you think they got an airbag in that?" Yeah, okay, I was having another "moment"...:impatient Mick
