my sister was dating a ceo of a small headhunting firm at the time (june '04), i went out there on business and after lunch with him and his family, he let me have at the controls for a couple hours for a romp around LA...that car is wicked fast. first and (to this point) last time i've driven a paddle shifted car...that was the hardest for me to get used to. unfortunately (for vanquish reasons :smile: ), they are no longer together. it is an amazing car, looking and driving, and i don't blame your wife for that as a dream car...

however, i am headed to atlanta motor speedway for a 30 lap drive in a nascar stock car in july--next huge thrill....

MINI at the track 3/05

I'm taking the name of the thread kinda literally (standing behind my MINI), but here I am picking up my MCS from MINI of Sterling on June 10th...

And here is the new MCS parked at home in Georgetown.

Memorable quote from my wife on one of her first outings in the MCS (she has a black Jeep LIberty) - "I feel like I'm riding in an M&M!"

To which I replied (upon blast-off), "A very fast M&M."

Thank You STLMINI when I saw the promo shot of the Gold Cooper the color got me and being this is the last year it will be an option mine will be more unique. Also notice I retained the chrome grills.

Loving your solid gold with the chrome mirrors. Thought about those now that I have chrome wheels, but not sure. LOVE the aero kit. Maybe that will be my next project...

OK, now that I finally figured out how to do the pics, here I am. We had just run a rally and one of the perks was a local gas station offering a discount on gas. So I am gassing up after the rally. Pic by my son, who drove while I read and wrote.
