So, I called the dealer yesterday (Morristown Mini in NJ). They say my car has been ordered and to expect a mid-July delivery. I've supposedly been added to the "Make Waiting Fun" thing, so I should expect something, but I don't know what. Now I guess I've got to start planning on selling my current car.

 

So tell...what did you order exactly?

 

Sell your current car FAST, because the Oxford plant is churning out MINIs at a very rapid rate. Your new car will be here in no time.

 

Yup! I got my car 1 month from the day I ordered.

 

I wonder if they are referring to the "Welcome Package"? Our dealer said that we should expect it before our MINI came, but we didn't get it until 2 months after I got my car, and I am supposedly one of the lucky ones that got it quickly, if at all. So, I wouldn't worry too much about checking the mailbox everyday

The waiting for me was a growth experience. Once I decide I'm getting something, I tend to get pretty quickly. While I know my decision to delivery experience was much shorter than others on this board, but I decided I wanted a MINI last June and made myself wait until January to get an LSD and I took delivery in February. It was agonizing, but worth it

 

i ordered an orange MCSc w/ blue top, orange interior accents, orange/blue leather/cloth seats, LSD, premium package and convenience package... oh, manual of course.
