R50/53 has anyone had any accidents with their minis?

SadSad -- I had an "incident" a month ago that I posted
here on MCO.
It turned out that a bashed in rear hatch totals about $1000 in Balto/Wash area -- half parts, half labor. Fortunately my insurance covered with $100 deductable.

Congratulations chrisneal, you're part of the problem. I just got my bill for my commercial policy. Over $5000 for 4 vehicles
I don't have a huge problem with this. Why be the one schmuck who plays by the rules, while everyone else's fraud drives your insurance rates up? Insurance is a big corrupt game.

Call your insurance agent, tell them you backed into another car in a parking lot (or wherever it happened). The other driver, for whatever reason did not want to have a claim filed and left the scene. NO citation was issued and NO blame was assigned for the accident. Your insurance company will repair your car, they may raise your rates, but that is what insurance is for. You don't have to lie. Call your agent, ask him/her what is the best way to go. You are their client, they should help you in filing claim in a manner that will damage you as little as possible. Yes, insurance is a pain, but you should not have to keep your car wrecked out of fear. I hope it all works out well for you.

Best advice I've seen on this thread. There are many reasons the other person would not want to file a claim. One is, they had no noticable damage. I has once stopped at a light and was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The front bumper on the truck was bent in, the front valance and grill were also pushed in. Another 1/2" and he would have lost his radiator. No damage to my car so... no claim.
