Found out that even though I've got a Jan. 10 build date, my MC (silver w/ black top, all packages) is already in the paint shop 
I sat down, went throught all the faults, fixes, and problem posts and made notes, plus printed out a bunch of people's posts so that I'll be ready w/ MY pre-delivery inspection after the dealership does theirs- hoping for a trouble-free Cooper. Just wondering as I impatiently wait the last couple of months: how many Oregon MINI owners are there on MCO? Are there any MINI clubs in this state?

fms, welcome to MCO. Yes there is MINI owners club in your area. Check under Pacific Northwest.

You know I'm not from Oregon, but I totally envy your location.
If only I could take my MCS along highway 101 from Seaside to the Crescent city.
The highway running along the Smith River in Northern CA/Southern OR is a great ride for a car like the MCS.
Wish I was there.

Thanks for the post, Ryan. Good to know of the PDX MINI Cooper Club. I knew PDX was the Portland Airport, but
I didn't put 2 and 2 together on the club. Looking forward to having a MINI to motor with, and I'll be
looking for events once mine arrives.
