Edge,
I think what Meanboy was asking was if the tire was removed from the wheel in order to plug the tire from the inside? What you don't want is a plug they install without removing the tire from the wheel, those are only acceptable for emergency repairs at best until you can plug the tire appropriately (from the inside of the tire).

Glad you likem - will sell you mine.
I can't wait for my run flats to go! I drove a MCS with standard tires and the car was better in every way except for perhaps wear. I just find the run flats to transfers too much of the road into the suspension and body for my tastes.
You know what they say "ones man food is another mans poison".
Enjoy'em

Did you know that the Rubber Manufacturers Association of America has definitively stated that:
"No tubeless tire is considered permanently repaired unless it is dis-mounted, inspected, drilled out, and patched from the inside/out by a tire repair professional." That means that any tire repair facility that plugs your tire 'on the wheel' is breaking the law. So whether the plug is shaped like a string, cone, noodle, or even mushroom! ...it is considered temporary.
Bummer about the spare not fitting. Will spacers work?

I dumped my runflats today! 65k miles... time for new rubber... couldn't wait 6wks for the Dunlops... TireRack recomended Pirelli Zero Nero M&S... cost less than the runflats... So I took the plunge... The ride is VERY SMOOTH! That is something to be enjoyed everyday... None of the jarring of the runflats... but I know that I will forget how rough those tires were... How well do the Pirelli's handle? Haven't really tested them yet... but nice so far... Are they good in the snow? Check with me in November... so far, I'm a happy driver.
How was Tire Rack?
Mr. Leslie how's it goin?
How was your tire rack experience?
Cool place hugh?
The Lotus' and M5s and MINIs, all the cars I want?
I just would like to know how they were and how long it took, also do they put the balance weights on the inside of the rim?
How fast are they?
Sorry about the bombardment of questions, it's just I finally ordered my R90s today and am planning on having them fitted with BFG KDW 2s next friday.
Have a good night
