R50/53 Dip stick
Dip stick
This may belong in the mod thread but it is not much of a mod...
Does anyone make a replacement oil dipstick for the MCS. I really don't like the yellow plastic tip, it is difficult to clean and difficult to see if the lighting isn't just perfect, and the oil is not really dirty. I saw that moss mini had a replacement for the MC but not the MCS and it was more for the cool billet finished look, no picture of the tip.
Any thoughts, even if you think I'm nuts, welcome.

Oil dipstick in 2005 does almost qualify as an official "pain in the butt"... On checking your oil, experienced owners have suggested elsewhere in the forum, to lay the dipstick on a paper towel, and "read" the level from the towel. This "kind of" works, but maybe I'm not as paranoid as some (due to I know my car's not "using" oil, after 5k miles
).
Anywho, I would like to know the reasoning behind the current design, and I would vote for a more user-friendly dipstick,
Tatt
