Now all I have to do is wait the grueling six months until she arrives off the boat! Indie blue, premium and sport with the 17 inchers (all season tires for the truly unpredictable New England weather, and since I'll be getting it in Dec/Jan). Real psyched, already started looking at performance parts from John Cooper, has anyone upgraded suspensions or anything? Just a thought! Can't wait to MOTOR!

welcome to the MINI world.

There are plenty of sites right now that are creating performance parts for the Cooper. There isn't much on the Cooper S yet, because tyhey don't have any to tinker with.

Coongrats on putting your deposit down. Where did you put it down at? I was told 9-12 months at Baron MINI in Kansas(Where my deposit is at now). Were they sure it would only be six months untill delivery? If so I might switch to your dealer, as long as they charge only MSRP. I know I asked alot of questions, I just want my S sooner than the 9-12 months, I am number 150+ on the list.

MINI of New Country Motor Cars in Hartford, CT. Graet dealership, very friendly AND high volume, go figure? Turns out that they are one of the highest volume dealers in the States and therefore may even get 2002s this fall, though it looks like it's leaning toward a 2003. I printed out my saved MINI from miniusa and gave it to the salesperson, that's it, no questions asked and paid the MSRP! Very happy with my experience there, happy motoring!
