I've seen a couple of threads expressing concern over long (4-6 week) delays due to the recent fire in the Harmon-Kardon plant. As I was scheduled for a May build, I was worried, so I called my dealer a few moments ago.

As it turns out, the H-K plant is back up and running! There may be SHORT delays for those of us with H-K systems, but not too long. I was originally scheduled for Week 18. After the fire, the estimated build was slipped to June (Week 22). But now I'm back to Week 19 - just a 1-week slip.

So relax, folks - it looks like we'll be OK !

 

Please pardon my ignorance.. but is the build date the start or the end of the build? I have a production # from 4/19/05, but miniusa says it's still on order.. I assumed it would be at the dealer by the end of June.

The build date quoted by ASKMINI is the completion date. MINIUSA
is usually a few days behind... if not more.

 

I got the most up-to-date info by calling 1-866-askmini. After listening to a recorded update, you can connect with a live customer service person if need to. I think they're hooked into the same data base as your dealer...certainly not as stale as the Owners Lounge which was always days behind.
