Looks like there is some consensus on the glove-box organizer, which was the first thing I bought, along with a stubby antenna. The only downside to the GBO is it takes up all the room for whatever you might have wanted to have heated or cooled by the climate control. I'd say an organized glove box is more important than one with a climate control vent, though.

I'll add a shift **** sized to fit hands smaller than Shaq's to the list.

Classic in Ohio is giving me a glove box organizer AND floor mats.

I've already ordered Ian's Auto-up Circuit with garage door controls and the parcel shelf and wind deflector are next.

And Floor Mats and a convertible wind deflector should be standard...

I had a Pontiac Sunfire with a cavernous glovebox - one of it's features was that you could load a 6-pack in the glovebox with room to spare!
Yeah, but will it stay as chilled as the 20 ounce Coke in my MINI glove box?

Thats one of the reasons I love my Whalen. Small hands need a smaller shift ****. I put my stock **** back on out of curiosity and that thing is a beast!

Another mod I enjoy is...

the rear seat lifting straps I installed. It is merely a 1" thick nylon strap wrapped around the headrest and extending down to the hook toward the bottom of the rear seats. The strap makes it very handy to lift the seats back up after laying them down. A very nice feature as the seats go down often to carry larger items.

I'm really surprised at the list......

For me, these are the adders I'd have liked to see.

1) Much lighter wheels. While the S-Lites are pretty, they are non-pointy boat anchors!

2) Lighter exhaust. I did the one-ball conversion, sound isn't much louder, and don't know about power, but saving about 20 lbs is key.

3) Better intake. The stock system can't put air into the filter box as fast as the motor wants it. For shame!

4) Well ajusted bypass valve. Mine didn't close all the way, wasting boost.

5) Vacuum Gain System. This is using the high pressure side of the manifold to control the bypass valve. Less yo-yo, more posative action.

6) Metal brake caliper bushings. Low cost adder, much better braking performance.

7) More suspension ajustment. Front camber isn't really ajustable (at least not much).

8) Oil catch can. It's a shame that one has to find a place where it fits, and add it yourself.

9) JCW seats available in the US. Maybe sometime soon?

10) Less understeer. (goes with 7).

I don't really find that the inside needed that much (after I added some working cup holders, but not an issue on the new cars).

Yes Nissan. The other day I drove a rental '05 Sentra sedan and the radio/CD stereo had the Aux input jack neatly integrated into the radio's faceplate.

I honestly don't understand why BMW does not spec the aux input jack integrated into the Alpine factory stereo.

Bigger Brakes! The stocks are terrible. Nothing huge just bigger for a car of its power and weight. 11.8 would be a nice size that can still fit 16in wheels and would make the car stand on its nose!

Fuzz Buster!

Radar/laser jammmer/detector - hopefully grill mounted with a blue led mounted in my one empty toggle? Does this setup exist out there. A drop top S with "Hot Sos" plates with a screaming supercharger seems to attract undue attention from the "Smokies". I was actually pulled over and given a full field sobriety test for making a hard 90 turn unto my street. Luckily, I was dead sober at the time. The uptight officer stated that he "heard" me going too fast and caught me in his "rear radar". Since I was stone cold sober he had to let me go, including the bogus speeding claim.

So I need some protection for all those times I am going too fast.

A LSD should have been an option for the start. I also wish the driving lights could have been a factory option so I didn't have to pay the dealer mark up for them. They were fun to install though.

Of all of the suggestions, this one is probably the LEAST likely to ever be included in any car by any manufacturer. If for no other reason than because such devices are illegal in some states and banned on all US Military installations.

Besides, once your local law enforcement changes to a band that isn't covered by your desired factory installed jammer/detector... You have a useless electronic widget adding weight to your car...

And I 3rd that!

The first thing I do with every car I buy is take it right to the tinting shop. I've always gone with one shade darker then legal. Why? To be rebellious and because I've never had a ticket (luckily, yet).

I can't believe no one has mentioned the brake light mod (for '02-'04). Without the mod, half of the brake light cluster serves no function at all, and with the mod, brake light visibility is basically doubled. Not only should cars have come from the factory this way, it's positively asinine that they did not.

I vote for the euro parcel shelf. It's great.
