Hello from Colorado

Let's play a rousing game of "spot the mini".

Wait, I see it!

Decided to actually put something in my gallery. Not like you can't find better pics of a red one, but I didn't see any others with my particular combo. Dropped, tinted, white roof/mirrors and black wheels with no sitckers or anything. That white rook sure doesn't help make you more visible and days like these! Of course I've really got my eye on one of those Colorado flags for the roof, but otherwise everything else is (and will be) visually unchanged for my Mini unless you look under the skin.

An Esprit, a Elan and a Europa, a nice collection of Lotus cars. They were very nice to me and made me feel welcome. Lotus cars handle well (that little Europa was awesome in the corners) so it was a fun group to run with. Not a lot of high speeds, just hard cornering all morning. The commented on how well the "hot-rod" Mini did, like I said it was a great group of guys.

Glad the snow wasn't ON the car! That would be pretty bad

Without the Jeep in this stuff, I wouldn't have gotten through 20 inches of snow this morning. I have every belief in Shazam, but not when my goal was just to get through the drift that the plow so graciously left overnight

Nice PIC, G!!!!!

It's been quite a shift for me. I can only afford one hobby at a time, and sold my Rock Crawler for the MCS. Now I have to shovel to the road! Here's my old ride, can anyone name this vehicle from the side profile?

I'm gonna guess that from your name it's a Mercedes Gellendwagen? (Spelling may be wrong)

You also brought back some fond memories with your pic of the Lotuses (Loti?). 10 or so years ago when I had my Alfa Romeo Spider, the wife and I went to Waterford Hills Racetrack in Michigan for Historic Races in conjunction with the Meadowbrook Concours. Around mid-day they announced they would let people do controlled laps on the track for a contribution to local charity. We got in line and were directly behind a Lotus Europa. As we were waiting to get on the track, the Lotus driver came back and said "Let's have some fun" - I was all for it. Once on track in the train of cars led by the Pace Car, the Europa dude started slowing down... letting a gap form of 2-3 corners between him and the car in front. He'd then wave to me and hammer it. I'd follow as best I could and we'd go like that till we caught the cars in front. Then slow down and do it again... until we were politely directed to leave the track . It was a lot of fun and I gained great respect for that little Lotus that day.
