Back from Rhode Island PP!

Hey,

I just got back from Rhode Island where Randy was hosting a Pulley Party. I had my alta intake, plugs and wires and H-sports installed. Just have to say what a great guy and he did an awesome job. Met some new people and had a good time, def, would recommend the next time Randy is near your town. Also, if you don't already have an alta intake, get one..the sound is amazing thanks Randy!

I have heard of pully parties how do they work? Do you help with the install, do you bring your own pully, do you pay to enter the party or install? Did you notice the increase in hp after all your mods? Sorry for all the questions . Just trying to learn from others.

Its great, I just told Randy what I wanted done and he brought everything and installed it himself. And you can pretty much do anything, its not just limited to pulley's. You should check out webbmotorsports and find out when the next one is and if it is near you. Even if you don't want to modify your car its great to at least go and meet him and everyone else.

This was a very good pulley party and I think Randy made out OK. I'm always amazed that the market continues to be out there for Mini mods. I personally find it impossible to walk away from these events empty handed.

I must mention Yarrow as he was a great host! I would encourage everyone in the New England area to make contact with Yarrow as he is most willing to work with the Mini. He has a lot of great ideas, some which I will be jumping on soon. http://www.yarrowsport.com/

I was there both days soaking up all that I could. The Dyno seemed to be continually running as most everyone was curious to see their numbers. My thanks to Paul for getting my G-Tech up and running on both my car and laptop. That was worth the trip alone!

Great to see the regulars and to see the newcomers to the interesting world of Minis. Great to see and meet all of you!

Now, down to the garage to get the WMS camber plates installed today

I too had fun and Randy was able to analyze and fix the clunking in my car as a loose endlink to swaybar connection ,and fix it in about 10 minutes, man did I feel like a fool. The car drives like new again .Kudos to Yarrow Thorne for hosting this fine event .For anyone who hasn't attended one of these pulley parties, go and enjoy the show and comraderie, if for no other reasons. You buy a pulley from Randy, he brings it with him to the party where he will install anywhere from 10-20 pulleys. You can watch and learn some intro mechanics and get to know a great guy. He'll also do other installs if you've had your eyes on a sway bar, intake, exaust, or something of that sort. You sign up for said party on Randy's web site, www.webbmotorsports.com , check out the garage part of the nav bar, it will send you to a page with some different forums, click "pulley party central" and find out where and when some pulley parties will be taking place, and you can sign up. You will Know that Randy worked on your car. The pulley makes a huge difference, 16-20 hp, very noticable. With the standard set up, like I've got (pulley, intake, exaust, ECU chip) you get great power and maintain a very civilized daily driver. I hope this all helps, and feel free to PM me with any other questions you may have.
Peace,
James
