For the uninitiated (me)

What is all this I see about the Dragon? It seems to be some kind of Mini meet somewhere, but other than that, I haven't a clue! Can someone clue me in?

From the uninitiated - it's a windy road somewhere down south where MINI people go with their cars to drive, meet, greet, and have an all around good time with good people and swell cars.

I've been there on 2 wheels. I can tell you if you go on a weekend, it's no fun. There'll be a ton of cars and bikes and you'll be hard pressed to "fracture" the 35 speed limit by too much.

That said... It's a F'ing awesome road to ride/drive. It's a challenge to both machine and man (woman) and you'll defiantely want to be on top of your skills before going. (Don't get there at 5:00pm and try to drive/ride the road after 8-10 hours in the seat/saddle).

Sometimes getting there is almost as good as the 15 minutes to say "I rode the dragon". Consider looking up the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherahola Parkway on the way there and back.

Oh one last thing... You have to get dragon stickers for the car... They sell them at the bottom end of the road (you can't miss it)

Wow, sounds like a lot of fun! And oh my, twisty city! I'd sure like to try it. Dunno about the time frame for MINI on the Dragon, but we'll see what I can arrange for my classes.

You have two choices to get more information about this year's MINIs on The Dragon....

You can either click the link in the menu in the upper left corner of your screen that says "2005 MINIS on The Dragon" which will tell you all you need to know...

Or just go here: www. northamericanmotoring.com/motd-home which will take you to the same place...
