Help...withdrawls!!!

I'm stuck up in beautiful Vancouver BC this week on business - imprisoned in a Pontiac Sunfire. I miss my MINI already, don't know if I can take it!!! Any suggestions for me to get me through friday night?

Take your Sunfire and go out and search for BMW/MINI dealerships...if only to touch one on the lot, perhaps you can go in and ask for a test drive while on your lunch this week?

Hello,

I'd work to make your current rig closer to a real "motoring" rig.

Get a bit of duct tape or somesuch from the hardware store, and give it some bonnet stripes! It's a rental, right?

Next, I'd get some markers and hang a big ol' paper speedo in the center of the dash.

If your other car's an S, the hood scoop will certainly require power tools..

Cheers,
Matthew Z.

Lot15 Where Are You?

Call Lot15, he is from the frozen tundra somewhere. He will let you drive his. With the Black Lab navigator, no less.
I mean, Canada is all just, like, up there all together. Right? Can't be far....
I bet you are planning your reunion drive already. Is it at the airport, or is someone picking you up? If so, make sure they are prepared for some motoring on the ride home.
Cheers!

Go find a little Die-Cast Mini and drive it around on the hotel floor or office desk! HeHe lol Or like someone else mentioned go to a dealership and maybe even just SIT in one! And pretend to drive and watch all the Sale-People watch you and then flock trying to sell you one! "No No I saw him first!" "Oh sorry guys I already have a MINI, I'm just have alittle Mini Withdraw!"

Along with matthewz post ...

I see you have a DS ... Are there any Home Depots / Lowes in Vancouver (if not, I'm sure there is some other paint store)? If so, go pick up a couple gallons of the closest matching DS paint you can find and get busy.

I love this, you are all making this much easier on me. I took a long walk this evening and spotted 3 or 4 MINIs on the streets (along with a few Smart cars, didn't know they had those up here).

Special request/contest with no prize but the feeling that you made my week:

Can someone find a picture of a pontiac sunfire (mine is a red four door) and photoshop me a counterfeit MINI? I would love it!!!!!

Careful not to drink too much and empty out the mini bar or you might be driving the sunfire like this-

Gee that looks comfy.

Well I think it is good to be parted from your MINI for a week.
I always find that after a long absence I get back to my MINI and really really really appreciate how good it is. It's just Sweeeeeet.
The sunfire is like a bad nightmare on four wheels by comparison.

Just think about those of us who are still in the long wait to get their MINI at ALL!

I think that Matthew has the right idea... then you can send pics into the counterfeit MINI site when you are done... :D

I really like the duct tape idea... I've got to go on a trip next week to Houston and I'll really miss my MINI.

Hmmm... must.... pack.... duct.... tape...

Now it's raining constantly, so the duct tape doesn't stick. Anyone found a good pic of a sunfire to photoshop?

Turns out Vancouver is chock full of MINIs, so every time I'm on the road, I can at least look longingly at them.
