I remember that feeling. After I made a phonecall to the dealership to confirrm that I was buying the car and that I'd be there after work to pick it up (I ended up buying the same car I test drove! ), I think I lasted about 15 minutes before I made a break for it! I almost made it too, until my supervisor walked around the corner and caught me sneaking out of work about 3 hours early! He's a very good guy though, he told me to get outta there and get my car!

Good luck, and post those pics!

-Paul!

Happy Motoring!

Hey Paul,
Sorry you weren't there to see the car in the showroom (although, I'm sure you're happier having it in your driveway)
Enjoy the new wheels, and have fun!

Get your Zoom on...

Looks great, Paul! Nice choice of body colored interior panels! It's hard to tell what color/type seat you have. Are you planning on adding stripes?

Give it a good clay bar and wax, and don't use terry cloth towels.

Be sure to get involved in all the local MINI clubs!

Try to get "ZOOMNESS" license plate.

Very nice, indeed!

I'll keep that in mind, tarzan, thanx. the seats are sport, black leatherette.

Oh, and once the car is mine to motor in, the first trip for me is to the dealer to get bonnet stripes behind my mom's back

that's my brother's bikes . thinking about a chrome hood scoop and chrome upper hood vents, as well as a new shifter ****. then it's down to the engine. while my dad's in his "protective" phase, I may just put in a turbonator. but once his worry time is over, say hello to the TurboKompressor!!! on goes the saga...

BUMP!
c'mon guys, seriously, if you know of anything that I could put on the Zoomness ALONG with the helix turbokompressor, that would be great(even better intake, 15% pulley, ignition, header, exhaust, etc) ANYTHING else performancewise! also, does anyone know where I could find a chrome toggle switch, regularly functioning switch, or button that I could put in the empty slot in the toggle bank? (no rear fog)

Hijacking your thread..

..for a fairly important question. PA resident, but stationed in Maryland. Can any PA inspection provider take care of my MINI for PA inspection, or should I hit a MINI dealer? If the MINI dealer is the answer, who's closest to B'more?

Considering a vanity plate, or a simple transfer of my PA plates to the new vehicle. I'll have to call Runkle's and get schooled a bit first, though..

Cheers,

Matthew Z.

hmmmmm... you are FINE at any a PA inspection place. now...HOW many cars have you owned? HOW many times have you had them/it inspected?

the fact that I am a 15 year old and can answer that question-and I don't even have a permit-makes me a bit sceptical about what boot camp really does LOL J/K

but seriously, how sad is that???

wow, it's been a long time since I've seen this thread. The Zoomness is aging well, has ~10,000 miles on it already(!) and has no rattles or quirks that I know of except just the slightest yo-yo at idle, but oh well.

I'm also at boarding school in new hampshire now so I hardly get to see her but I'm going home for a few days in a couple of weeks so I'm going to spend as much quality time with her as possible. I can't wait to get back to roaring along in a little yellow beauty!

Over the past months she's gotten a polish numerous clay bars and a few waxes thanks to my Griot's Garage kid that ROCKS but is kinda expensive. I just can't wait to see her!!!
