Switches

I keep seeing pics of people who are not optioned enought to fill all the switches. Is there anyway to get dead switches to take the place of the little blanks that go in there? I am looking to buy a new Mini this summer, but do not want the options that fill the switches, but I also do not want to be looking at blanks where the switches should be.

Any ideas?

Yes - do a search on 'toggle' or 'toggle replacement' and you'll see it all in gory detail. I filled out the rack on a friends Cooper - looks much better! It can be somewhat problematic to find the spare toggles, but it's not bad.

Hi rigidjunkie!
I'll put in my 2 cents based on my own experience. I was really fretting over having a full set of toggles, which I do not have w/o DSC or rear fogs (...rear fogs weren't even an option when I got my MINI so everybody had at least one blank slot). I will say that I'm still very pleased with the options I got. I will also say that, for me, motoring is so much fun and so engrossing, I've simply forgotten about the whole issue. Perhaps the same might be true for you...perhaps not.

I saw an MCS at the dealer that had a blue LED mounted in a blank toggle position (for an alarm system?). That was cool.

i've got an incomplete panel available if someone wants to buy it. i replaced mine with a full panel that i bought from a uk dealer back in 02. i dont know if you can take one toggle off and put it on another or not. if anyone wants it and can do it, make me an offer and it's yours!

I can feel for you. I opted for the rear fog lights only so I'd have a full rack. I don't regret the choice but I felt a little silly doing it.
