The prices on what site? This was the list that they handed out at Mini of Towson tonight during there little Mini Meet. I'm assuming these all include installation, so they seem about right.

The Sport Link is where you would place the bike rack (or tow bar) into at the back of the car. All you will see is two silver round openings on the rear bumper. Everyone asks what those are and say it looks like something James Bond would have on his car with flames or oil coming out.

I get that too, since I have the Sport Link installed.

I was at the same MINI of Towson event. Had a great time, despite the 70 mile drive (in rush hour!) to get there... just wish I had more time to mingle and also check out more cars.

Cooprd... what does the decal in your window say?

I've been thinking that I want to get a decal of some kind... something that conveys the right attitude, and helps to dispel the "cute car" image. Even something as blatant as:

"Cute? HAH! I'll show you CUTE"

Or other "this car is a LOT more than you realize" type of thing.

Edge...Last year I had the Actual size sticker from AMVIV. After a year it started to come off. So we went with a theme for AMVIV II. Since after Vegas it was Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Sadona, Indian Ruins and the Meteor Crater.

But, anywhere I go I...........

TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME

Darnit... so many cool decals, I want a bunch of them... some of the cool ones I've seen from the big decals thread:

actual size
1/1 scale
still plays with cars (especially little british ones)
sey halo to my little friend
I drive a MINI. What are you compensating for?
(triangle with windy road) - Deal's Gap (Dragon)
THIS OBJECT IS CLOSER THAN IT APPEARS

(and now...)
TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME

The real question is, where do I buy these (other than the windy road one... gotta go to the dragon for that)? I've tried searching online for some of them but they are tough to find. I am trying to avoid having them custom made - and then they probably wouldn't turn out as well as I hoped.

The rear fog light price sounds promising. My Cabrio will be due for service by June so hopefully I can get it done for $179

The two holes under the bumper? Does some sort of bike rack attach to that?

Yes. It's the system from MINI-FINI I believe. They have a whole bunch of interchangable attachments for hauling various items. MINI-FINI were sponsors at AMVIV, and had a car there with a snowboard attachment on there.
You used to be able to see all the attachments on the MINI FINI site.

high installation prices

I was told the reason that installation charges were so high was because the dealer will slap the same warranty coverage on the installed accessories. So if they break it gets fixed for free during the warranty period.

I figure some of that electronic stuff will no doubt malfunction and when it does, well you know. So the installation prices might be worth it for the protection.

that sounds like bs to me , unless they are extending the coverage beyond the manufacturers warranty on these parts(ie ;seperate dealer warranty) mini dealers have the market cornered , they know this and subsequently we all pay through the nose. i am not complaining, i knew this before i bought the car ,

I had the white tail lights installed with the sport link. A few months later they replaced the cracked 3rd break light at no cost.

usually anything dealer installed after delivery carries at least a one year warranty!
