Well, my mints are three weeks old and I haven't opened them. I don't know, I just feel like I should keep them untouched!

I am sure I'll break down and open one of the packages! I am so happy that my dealership is one of the GREAT ones!! (It would be unjust to say they are just "good")

That dwarfs my two boxes.

And my one. I saw a MINI key ring mentioned. I didn't get no key ring!

I got one box of mints and a key ring....I guess it is up to the individual dealer but I heard some people get mugs that fit into those puny cupholders....what do those mugs look like and do they really make the cupholder usable??

When I picked up Tillie from Classic in December, I got 2 packs of Smints, 2 key rings, a medium sized toy MINI, a keyring-size MINI toy, a set of floor mats, and a Euro shelf. Plus, I got my picture taken with Julie!

Thanks for the link. I noticed the following:

"Amazingly, MINI Mints have an official BMW part number: #99-00-0-003-820 so in principle you could order them through a car parts store or direct from your dealership!"

Has anyone tried ordering them?

I'd really like to taste my Smints, but like a lot of us, I don't want to break the seal on my packages. And I can't seem to find the regular, unbranded Smints anywhere. Does any store in N. Calif. carry these things?

I buy replacement mints at the drug store or grocery store and refill my genuine MINI mints. . . .

It is a box of candy. . . might as well enjoy them. . . but only while motoring!

Hehehe, I am similarly twisted, considered reloading the MINI box...

I handed it over, once empty, to my kiddos to keep with their "MINI Stuff" collections . Don't let this get out, but while I still had mints, I (shhh) shared them!

wouldn't that void some type of warranty?

Also, dealerships get cases of mints. Your MA is responsible to see that they get put into your MINI =)

I didn't get the mints when I picked up my MINI. In fact, after 2 1/2 years of MINI ownership, I finally got my first box last week -- in my goodie bag at C3's AMVIV dinner! Thanks, C3!

LOL!

I guess it depends on how cool your dealer is with aftermarket parts!

I never imagined when I started this thread last week what a popular topic this would become. I now have to fess up that I have received my mints after the fact. I needed to return my Mini to the dealer earlier this week for a minor issue and when I confronted my MA, he claimed that they were out and had them on order, but non the less slipped away while the service folks looked at my Mini. My MA returned a few moments later with 2 packs of the mints in tow...... Hhhm... whats up with that? Mints are on order but yet 2 packs in hand..... When I asked if these came in the car from the factory, the reply was NO. How odd! I seem to recall there were 2 new Mini's in the dealer lot when I got there, did my MA now deprive another new Mini owner of their mints by grabbing them from their Mini's? The plot continues to develop. Are there any other new Mini owners from Orlando that have been deprived of their Mints lately?

Not from Orlando, but I didn't get my mints either... and I will definitely be bringing that up on my next visit to the dealership!

Don't get me started about Downtown MINI and customer service!! There is a reason I ordered from Lauderdale MINI!!!

That being said, I hear that Sean is an excellent tech and will totally take care of you! (I wish I could say the same great things about their MA's and other sales staff.)

I am glad you finally got your mints . . . but don't you wish they would have been upfront about it?

I was at the dealership on Friday, poked fun at my MA about not getting the mints, he said "OOPS! I completely forgot", went to a cupboard and gave me 2 boxes. Heh.

does anyone know some easily available and inexpensive mints with which I can refill my MINI mints dispenser?

also, does anyone have a picture of the free mug that I missed out on?

I didn't get one with my 2004 MC delivered in March. I had to buy one.

They come in two sizes, one to fit the front cupholders, one to fit the rear.

We have two of these mugs. Cute, and match the car, but not the best quality. They are kinda leaky around the lid, and don't keep your coffee hot for very long.

We picked up our MCSa yesterday....got a tin of BMW mints, a BMW keychain (shaped like a steering wheel), and a leather CD case from the dealer...I'm cool with that, considering when we picked up our brand new Chevy Tahoe last year all we got was a handshake!!!...what exactly does Mini send in the "welcoming Kit" ?
