I got a nail in my tire and it cant be replaced. I have actually been riding on it for about 5-6 week like this. It doesent even loose air. But the nail is in the transition area from the sidewall to the tread. It sticks out about 1.5 inches.

I need a 16 OEM tire. Where can I get one cheap? I don't really want to spend $200 + $50 for install. I'd love to take one off the hands of a someone who hates the runflats and got rid of them.

Know anyplace to get a cheap tire?

Sometimes the dealers have ones that have been taken off of new MINI's that have had different wheels installed before delivery.

Post this in marketplace forum also and someone out there surely has one for you.. . .

Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com) carry the standard MCS 16" Dunlop SP5000 runflat tires for around $140 each. Very reasonable for what is a pretty decent stock tire.

If you are in Ft Lauderdale, talk to Lamont in service and he may be able to hook you up with a replacement.

 

How many miles do you have on your current tires? Are they worn? I may have access to some used tires but I need to know your tread wear status.

I have 11500 miles on my mini. Everyone filled with enjoyment. Can I replace just one tire or does that throw off the wheels/differencial?

I can sell you a single tire with about 45-50% of it's tread left. If you have a tire tread depth gauge, measure the depth and I'll compare it to what's left on these. You can get a gauge at any parts store for a couple dollars. You don't have to have a gauge but it's nice because tire tread is normaly measured in 1/32 of an inch and that's a little difficult to be accurate with a ruler. The ones I have are Dunlop. You could put a new one on there with the other 3 worn ones, but you'll end up throwing away a tire that's still good when the other 3 wear out. The same thing happened to me only I couldn't find a used single tire, so I bought a whole set of used Dunlops. I replaced the bad one and now have three to get rid of. One at a time probably. I paid $200 for the set (plus shipping) so I'll sell you one for $50. plus shipping.
