Driving aids

im not too keen on the MINI's features but i assume it has ASM (Active Stability Management) and TCS (Traction Control System) that runs full time correct??? has anyone every done a rally/ride with those turned off?? i have a classic 72 mini and its a blast without those things, seems you feel the road more with older cars that dont have all that fancy hardware

If you "are not keen on the MINI's features", then you bought one because... ?

Or am I assuming too much?

The ASC/DSC can be turned off; there is even a product which allows it to be turned off every time you start the car

Depite all of the new features, the New MINI is a fantastic car for drivers who want a very direct connection with both the car and the road.

Most enthusiasts driving twisty roads with the intention of going fast turn off the DSC. Many of these turn it off each and every time they start the car.

Go down to your local dealer and DRIVE one and see if you are not keen. . .

You'll have a blast. . . .

I had a 70 Mini, loved that car, wish I still had it.It did not much matter it had maybe 65 hp,it could fly around, so small and light.Great fun in the snow:smile:
My 03 MINI is a different car, from the rubber on the ground to the the high 3rd. brake light. This car is way more comfy

Well, if you aren't yet building the Miata, isn't this the perfect time to drive a MINI??? I mean, you don't want to go and get a Miata then regret it, do you?
