We visited St. Louis this weekend. Test drove an Indi Blue S. Didn't have time to hang out afterwards, but I think I will be sending my deposit this week. My wife is still not really enthusiastic, but she loves me and I am pretty sure that I will be placing my order before the week is through. The IB S had the Nav system... I am pretty sure won't be ordering it. I just liked the look of the speedo there better and I didn't like both of the small add on tac/speedo as well. The other money saving thing I am coming around on was the leather seats. The space cloth seats actually felt nice and looked nice. Plus it will be better when my 4 legged buddy rides with me! The downside to this is no lumbar support? Is that correct? I haven't really played with the lumbar support and I almost never use it in my maxima or the lexus rx300, but I hate not to have things! The only thing that bugged me a little was that I had semi hiking boots on(merrills and the space between the clutch and brake seems a little small especially when I try to put my foot left of the clutch. I did not notice this when I had tennis shoes on. Of course, I don't plan on driving the S in the snow.

Anyway thanks for letting me share!

Yeah. I have trouble getting in the car with boots on
unless I raise the steering wheel. Glad I only have to
drive with boots when I drive over to get on a motorcycle.
I pity the snow couintry folk.......

Hmm, it sounds like you have decided on your car's features in exactly the opposite way that I did - beginning with a fully-loaded MCS and then looking for "money-saving things" NOT to order, like the navigation system. I began with a bare-bones MC and then decided on what I absolutely had to have. I found the resulting list to be pretty short. It's nice when a base model has a CD player, ABS, A/C,and upholstery as nice as the leatherette or space cloth. I couldn't say no to that sunroof, though!

I agree with you, the nav screen really kills the interior. I don't understand why it seems to be so popular, especially at $1200 or $1600 or whatever it is.

That's what I said too, my S is on it's 4th snowstorm drive today, it does well, even on the Pirelli runflat tires. I may get some Blizzaks before winter really starts here in the NE.
