WOW Josh - You sure asked the right question! Very entertaining.

1953 Chevy 1/2T 5-window pickup
1957 MGA
1953 Ford 1/2T PU
1969 BSA Lightning
1975 Alfa Romeo Alfetta
1971 Alfa Romeo GTV
1991 Alfa Rodeo SUV (OK, Isuzu)
1999 Ducati M 750

The Chevy was my first car - put me thru college, moving furniture on weekends. Bought it for $475, drove it for 11 years, sold it for $900
The MGA was my second car & I still own it - just went through it for the second time.
The Ford was a poor substitute for the Chevy - nuf said.
The BSA & Ducati are another passion
The Alfa's were a passion for many years, but ran out of garage room & time to tinker. The Alfa Rodeo still catches a gullible driver now & then with the fake badges. "Wow - an Italian SUV!" I've driven it from Canada to Cabo, 200K+ miles and still gong strong.

The new MINI is the Mini I always wanted but never had. By far the most fun of the bunch!

I had several really good cars, including an '87 911. My MCS handles so much better than my 911 did, my friends don't believe me. I noticed several other people in this post had 911's, do you feel the same way?

In order or acquisition, 1977-present
1957 MGA (2 seats - 1 for me, 1 for the mechanic)
1962 Pontiac Tempest (drove it exactly twice before I had to junk it)
1979 Datsun pickup (university years, lots of moving)
1955 Chevy (no reverse gear - inherited when brother went into Peace Corps)
1968 BMW 2002
1991 Honda Civic Hatchback (all the sex appeal of a Yugo)
1995 Honda Civic
1997 VW Jetta
???? Citroen 2CV (I've seen squirrels run faster)
2000 VW Jetta (zzzzzzzz)
a couple of Vespa scooters thrown in along the way
...and last but certainly not least, 2003 MCS that's just about to exit the break-in period!

The only car that I need to mention was the 1963 3500 GTI Tourning Maserati that I brought back in 1975 from Italy. I paid 2300 dollars for it. When I was able to spend a few dollars on it I had the engine rebuilt and replaced a few other worn out parts. Sold it years ago. I miss that car.

I admit scanning some posts quickly, but I didn't see many classic musclecars except for the Mercury Cyclones. I love my MCS for the same reason as the Porsche 930 and musclecars... purity of function.

'73 Mustang coupe, 351c (high school car purchased in '78)
'70 Dodge Charger (blew the 383, installed a 440)
'69 Plymouth Roadrunner, 440
'84 Ford EXP (my only small car b4 the MCS. slow, but fun)
'70 Dodge Charger (built this one into a show car, kept the roadrunner for racing)
'88 BMW 325ix (traded the Charger in on it. Awsome in the rain!)
'66 Plymouth Valiant (273 HiPo & lowered)
'79 Porsche 930 (Purchased in '91. Awsome, but had to sell the Roadrunner & Valiant to afford the maintenance)
'88 BMW 735 (traded the 930 for it and gave it to my wife)
'89 Chrysler Lebaron (Wife's old car. I spent over a year in purgatory driving this numb-handling POS while paying off the 930 bills).
'94 Camaro Z28 6-speed (my first new car! Bought it the week I paid off the credit cards)
still have these 4:
'77 Jeep CJ5
'69 Roadrunner 440 (This ones a keeper, my 1st classic musclecar in 10 years)
'98 Dodge Dakota V8, 4wd, ext cab (will keep to drive on rainy days)
'03 MCS (plan to keep it for at least 8 years)

1957 356 A 1600 Super Speedster
1970 914-6 with 2.7l RS spec
1969 911S factory hillclimb car
1970 914-6 SCCA GT2
1970 914-6 with 3.2l Motronic
2002 MCS

family cars
1992 Jeep Wrangler
1995 4Runner
