Belt arrestor

Time for a belt change on my R53.
My (Gates) tensioner is fairly new with about 15k miles on it with polyflex bushings. I've had this
Alta tensioner stop Alta tensioner stop
in my Amazon list for sometime now and thought it might be a good idea to purchase and install one while I'm at it.
Anyone have any experience with these?

Has anyone had a belt break with one of these installed?
Did it work as designed/intended?

I had a belt break apart on me once (installer error) and boy did it sound catastrophic!
Thinking that maybe this arrestor might be worth it?
Thanks.

i had one on my first mini. when i bought my second one, i did not get another. for me it just made dealing with the tensioner a pain in the neck.
