2006 Mini Cooper S - SES light wouldn't clear today.

Hi, All! I have been a Member here for many Years! I hope you All, like Always, can help me and my Beautiful Mini - Abbey <3 Abbey is a 2006, Mini Cooper S with only 77,000 miles on her! I Baby Her! Here's the deal..She had her oil filter replaced and oil drained and changed. She passed inspection with flying colors...She had her "Service Engine Soon" light on and thus took her in. (March of 2025) Though the peeps couldn't remove her SES light, I took her home and without a decoder to clear SES, I was able to by using the ODO and placing the key in position one - All Clear! Just yesterday, her SES light came back on. I tried 5X yesterday and today to reset her. To No Avail. Today I took her to AutoZone to prompt a code. The code was PO326 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1) She has never presented with that before. Her acceleration seems fine - no stuttering. I don't know what to do and how will this affect Abbey? Do I take her back to the peeps I had seen in March OR take her back to a further distance from me - rent a car where the Shop who has known her and me for years and let them investigate/repair/replace/fix her? I may be a 71 year Mini Chick, work on her minimally and Love My Abbey! I will do anything to keep her healthy!
So Sincerely, Abbey's Mom

noodlesandsam - Thank You for that html. Being 71 yrs old and not that mechanically savvy simply can't do all of that. Question..Is she safe to drive to get her into a shop OR have her towed into a shop and rent a car? I appreciate your quick input. Thank You! Abbey's Mom

its worth showing this thread to your shop. I am not
sure how safe it is to drive - locally under light load ‘should’ be fine, but it does need to be looked at. Has the fuel filter ever been changed?
