Opinions needed on rebuild

02 R53 MCS getting ready to rebuild the bottom end with spare that I have. Current parts list : Wiseco 77mm shelf pistons, king rod bearings, king crankshaft bearings Newman supercharged fast street cam. ARP rod bolts, new bearings and seals for super charger, arp head stud kit, full engine gasket set, cravenspeed 15% pulley, 2% harmonic balancer checked the bore and it’s good and crank and journals all good too. Any else I should consider? Have cat back exhaust single piece flywheel and clutch kit, k&n air filter.

i would keep the damper stock size and run a 17% pulley . everything else looks good ,

Inquiring minds want to know: What's the difference between a 2% damper with a 15% pulley vs. a 17% pulley with a stock damper?

with a 2% damper your also spining the accessories faster , creating more drag and taking life away from your alternator and AC compressor.
17% pulley, your only spinning the supercharger faster , the accessories remain the same speed.

Took the old motor out on Sunday pulled the head off and tore it down, cleaned up all the ports and opened them up bit. Went thru super charger, cooling system, flushed out heater core, and a few other things. It runs amazing has great pull from about 2700rpms- 7100rpms still being pretty nice to it for the beak in but was brought up with break it in like your going to drive it and heat cycle it with care. Super happy with everything on this build and the outcome it’s a good daily that doesn’t leak anymore oils and hopefully has a long time before it starts burning 1/2 a qt every 250-350mile lol
