R50/53 Headers and sports cat
Headers and sports cat
Any advice on buying headers/sports cat for my 06 MCS?
I have to replace my cat and figured I'd replace the headers as well. I'm rocking an invidia n1 catback right now and want to find something that sounds nice with it. I'm good with loud, just not crazy loud so decat is out. Any of you invidia users or experienced mini modders have recommendations?

I have the Mynes 4:1 Headers with sports cat 200 cell (paid US$745 in 2008) and Ireland Engineering Cat-back exhaust since 2008. Love the sound and always received positive compliments from fellow enthusiasts. Single muffler = lighter weight as bonus. I slashed-cut the exhaust tips to my liking.
I just checked the price of the IE today and surprised that cost is still the same at US$370 that I paid in year 2008.

I have the RMW header and GESI cat. I bought it ceramic coated, but the coating didn't look familiar based on my previous coatings from the well known companies. I don't know how well it will hold up.
Lohen in the UK has a nice looking stainless header with removable cat. I might be convinced to go that route if I had it to do over again.
I am running with an Nvidia cat back and it's a little louder than I'd like. Everyone says the milltek is the best for sound, volume and drone.
I pulled out the entire interior and added sound deadening matting throughout the car. That helped a lot controlling sound. As a bonus gave the best door closing sound since old 911s to my ear.
