Wheel hub brands (Meyle, Bremmen, GSP)

Hi all,

Ive been looking at getting either Meyle or Bremmen front wheel hubs and decided I might do all four but there’s only one listening for the rear, GSP. This is all from ECS Tuning. I can get front GSPs to match, but I’m unsure of their quality compared to Bremmen or Meyle. Any thoughts? Should I not worry much about mixing brands if I get the GSP for rear and Bremmen or Meyle for front?

I used the bremmen, GSP and Meyle etc. Some of the bearings are a match to match and some come with extra hardware. I had febi ones in the past also that were made in UK and they failed down the road at like ~50,000 miles. So they had some life. The next set from febi i ordered they were from china and they lasted till now. I would just get the match side to side and i would do them in pairs. We also have lifetime replacement now. On gen 1 MINIs compared to my gen 2 MINI, they really like to go through bearings no matter OEM or aftermarket. I think its just the nature of the steering and suspension being so raw/tight/gokart on the gen 1 MINIs

Big thing is that weird end of year split you need to watch out for and also those abs sensor and how easy it is to damage them on install.

Good to know about the lifetime replacement because I was thinking of purchasing NSK elsewhere (you don’t sell) bc a mechanic friend of mine said he’s never had an issue with those. I hear you about the suspension though.

Can I ask about this lifetime replacement philosophy and how this became justifiable from ECS Tuning’s perspective?

I have used and trusted NSK and *** brand bearings for a long time across multiple platforms.

Same, I'll add SKF as another trusted brand. I just bought a pair for the front but have yet to install them

I'd recommend sticking to one brand for consistency and quality.

Mixing brands is fine. Meyle and Bremmen outperform GSP in durability.
