Nice work. I just did the same thing on my 05 slicktop track car. Replaced everything front to back. Mine is not as pretty though since it's for track use. Looking forward to seeing it come together.

I read your thread about adding wrap to the headers. It convinced me to go ahead and add it to the ceramic coat. Simple and not expensive. Lots of downsides to wraps, but my car will never be driven in foul weather. Good to hear the iat temps drop. Would love to hear how much of a change you've seen

Bought a complete new factory motor from Detroit tuned. I considered other options, but for the money it's hard to beat. It really comes complete from oil pump to thermostat to oil pan to complete head with spark plugs and coil/wires.

Need a little help guys. I thought I took plenty of pics, but I'm stumped on a ground coming out of the octopus (what modmini calls it). I have the two wires/ground to the starter. This one is from the bottom of the octopus. I've attached pics. Thanks for the help, I tried looking through both Bentley and Haynes. Only Bentley lists them specifically. They list a ground under the back of the fuse box. I didn't remember that and putting it there runs it directly under the air box. It just doesn't look right. I appreciate it guys.

Crap, I think I figured it out. It's the second wire to the 13mm post on the starter. I kept looking at my pic and didn't see it running under the starter. Somebody lmk if I'm wrong.

The passengers body mount is a Vibratechnics. They make one for the trans side too, but I'm good for now with poly bushings.

The dampener is an ATI with titanium screws.

I hope this helps.

thank you that does help.

for the dampener, i meant this thing: https://altaperformance.com/i-140071...djustable.html

seams like it removes the stock "shock" with a solid tension on the belt?

Ah yes, it is an Alta strut. Too much money for what it is IMHO. And he aware that you have remove before you can take the belt off. It's a bit of a pain. I'd use the simpler method if I didn't already have it.

And yes I think it's the second wire on the 13mm stud. In the pic you can't see it, only the stacked appearance on the stud made me catch it.

I'll dive under the car again today hopefully. Maybe even finish up all of the wiring and subframe install if I'm lucky

The coilovers are from Feal. I would go slightly softer if I had it to do over again. They provide swift springs so different rates are easy to spec. The guys at Feal were very easy to work with after I couldn't get hold of Jan.

My setup was fine when I thought I'd do more track days. As a street car I would have gone with Ohlins. I hope that helps.
It is funny the amount of times I have read the sentence, "couldn't get ahold of Jan" in some variation here on NAM or anywhere else!!! You have a business. Open your damn phone or email or whatever you use!

Is it still a business though?

Everything is put back together and she fired up. I only ran her for a couple of seconds, but she did run so that's good news. No leaks, etc for the tiny bit she ran.

Going to test drive and re tighten suspension bits, verify no leaks and add fender shields/skid plate. Waiting for catch can lines to arrive next week.

Next is to plug in innovate wideband and do some data logging. We'll see if I have to bug Adrian for a tune update.

Thankfully it's almost finished. Hope y'all got something out of the process.

Here ya go. First run up. Wife is trying to hold between 1.5-2k. Some smoke from what I am hoping is pwr steering and antifreeze fluid spill over. No leaks that I noticed. Clutch engaged and seems to be working well too. More good news. Will drive tomorrow and change out break in oil if all goes well.

Car drove good today. No noticeable issues, no cel, etc. Next week is wideband and finish break in. Hopefully I'll be able to get on it after break in.
