Hello guys, I just bought a r53 JCW with 86k miles last weekend. The previous owner installed two KC 400 rally lights with bracket that mounted to the grill. It also came with wiring harness with inline fuse and a switch inside the box.
My plan is to wire the rally light to the high beam so it turns on when high beam is turned on. I was searching around on ancient forums, and what I can do is add a 4-pin relay, which connects to the positive and negative terminal of the battery, the rally lights, and high beam wire. According to the forum I can splice the high beam wire from the headlight connector to the relay, supposedly a yellow/blue wire on the passenger headlight connector. Can anyone confirm if this method is doable, and is there anything to keep in mind while doing this work? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I have included some photos for better demostration. These are the rally lights that came installed with no wiring done.

The MINI Rally Lights for the R52/R53 original kit was/is designed to come on with the High Beams (if the switch is on) . Here is the MINI Wiring Rally Light diagram and use it to install your harness.
