Last week I purchased the Mini Cooper Sport exhaust for my three week old 05 Cooper. I am pleased with the results. The sound is not extremely loud ( although I expect it to get louder over time), but obviously louder than the stock unit. The dealer gave me a $100 discount on the part. I'm sure it's not the best or the cheapest after market exhaust available. My reason for getting it was that I wanted absoutlely no chance that any future warrranty issues would be denied based on the new exhaust or the installation. I've seen no reviews on this exhaust, but I would recommend it for anyone who wants a better sound and no warranty worries.

 

Wow! Someone got the optional MC exhaust. You are the first I have heard of. And well I am glad to finally hear about what someone thinks of it. I have considered it time and time again. But the pricetag stopped me everytime. Not just the part price but the install.

So your happy with it? Do you think it added any extra hp?

 

Since I just passed my break-in period yesterday I have not had an opportunity check out horse power gains. I will post about that as soon as I have a good idea. The price scared me off for a while, but the dealer discount helped. I too could never find any other buyers.

 

I, too, got the dealer installed sport exhaust on my '05 MC. My MA told me I was the first she had seen to order it. After much searching for actual owners of the product, with no luck, I took the leap and added it to my order. I could not be happier with the sound quality, both inside and outside the MINI. Clearly has a sound of authority to it, without being obnixious. I get my money's worth every time I tap the throttle!
