R50/53 Mini mania oversized valves
Mini mania oversized valves
I'm having a head mildly ported. I was going to add improved valves and springs but stay with the stock size. The only inconel valves in the stock size that I can find are from mini mania. They are actually oversized, but fit the stock seats. I don't really care about them being oversized, I am just looking for the better material. Anyone have any experience or know who even makes these valves? Any other options? Thanks for the help.

Was hoping to get some response but didn't. Went ahead and ordered the valves from mini mania. Also ordered Crower beehive springs and titanium retainers. Hopefully it will all work well together. It'll be a few months but I'll update after the install.
Yeah I reached out for the same kind of insight on my quest for prospectively larger values, and ended up keeping the stock ones. If I recall it does appear these are the same valves used in the mid tier Thumper head that has since been discontinued. I look forward to seeing how these work for you as well as MPG impact.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to be doing the motor season this winter. Since I live in Montana it's going to be probably this time next year before I have any results.
I am going to try to see if I can find a flow bench nearby to compare the stock head with the mildly ported one. The machinist is doing a bowl blend, gasket matching and cleaning/polishing the stock casting irregularities.
I know there's more to be gained, but I'm not doing track days anymore. I'm not shooting for the crazy power that a lot of people are after. I just want a fun toy to play with in the summer.
