Hey folks,

Pardon if elsewhere, couldn't find. I have a Cravenspeed 15% pulley that I'm swapping to a recently ported supercharger that still has the stock pulley. My concern is if I order a removal tool for the stock pulley it will still be the wrong size for the 15% Does this mean I need two aggrevatingly overpriced speciality tools that I'll use only once in my life? Appreciate any insight!

 

You shouldn't need a removal tool for the Cravenspeed pulley - just unbolt it from the SC.
For the stock pulley, you only need the special tool to remove it while the SC is installed. Since you're swapping out the SC, you can remove the stock pulley on the bench using a universal hub puller. If you don't have one already, Autozone will lend one to you for free (requires a refundable deposit)

Thanks again for the advice. It took a 5-ton puller from Autozone, and after my impact wrench wouldn't cut it, a breaker bar with 3 foot cheater (handle from my hydraulic jack) to get the darn thing off. The pulley nealy folded in on itself before finally coming loose, but no money was spent on tools! It's just crazy that a press fitting could be that tight.
