Just got an email about a new seat back adjustment **** to make it easier to adjust your seats. They said that I should have already received a letter about it, but I have not.

Did anyone get a letter or email about this??

 

I got my letter yesterday (although it was addressed to "Mr." when I'm a "Ms&quot. It only goes out to early build 02 model owners. It offers to have the seat tilt handles replaced with new handles that only allow one-way operation. The confusion of the two-way handles on each side of the seat caused problems with the seats getting stuck in certain positions. I've already had the new handles installed. Now you can only press them down the one-way in which they are supposed to go, so it's dummy-proof now. But, the passenger seat still sticks in the folded forward position every once in a while when people climb in the back seat. Go figure.

I had to have Both my seat back adjustment mechanical parts replaced. Both the passenger and driver seat would only adjust to one position, and that was all the way tilted back...... not the most comfortable position to be in...when MINI replaced the mechanical parts to the seat, they put the new handles on.. it makes a big difference....

 

In the email the new handles look very different, even with yelow tabs. Are they really like that or was that just the graphics?
