Vanity Plate?

I’ve seen a few pics of members cars with vanity plates and I was given a fabulous suggestion by @MiniManAdam for mine (if I ever see it again)

I’ve never put a vanity plate on a car but if I get one for the Mini it will be IGLOO!

^^^ Flagstaff? Despite the forecast for much more, we only got 3-4" from the last storm here in Payson.

Yep. 31” on W/Tr. 140” for the year. I’m going to be able to lift my car w/o a Jack soon. Considering all of the upper body exercise I’m doing. I saw an add for some gym and thought that if people really want exercise, come shovel 12 feet of snow!

TG the sun is out which will help

just sucks that I can’t do anything w the car. I need to replace the heater core but I can’t even open the door much less the hood to finish the SC replacement

Payson would be a good place to drive a Mini. A round trip from Payson to Show Low would be a great drive. Payson to Flag on Lake Mary road is good too

We have some amazing roads in this state. Too bad I can’t drive anywhere

Payson occasionally gets a storm dropping up to 4' *** but rarer each year with current weather pattern. Pro weather-guessers are saying the "river" of storms coming in off the Pacific aren't an indication of end of "global warming" but instead, a byproduct of the altered jet stream affected by that. Who knows. In this region, we're use to storm cells building, then dissipating and/or changing course of direction.

Payson has nearly no secondary mountain highways suitable for driving fun, all being State Hwys as you know. Fun drives are more often towards Flag via Lake Mary Rd with return that route or down to Camp Verde on I-17 (boo!), then east on 260 to 87 south to home. My sig thread topic is nearly 400 posts, so I'll link to one of those my buddy and I did with both our R53 last August here. You'll probably recognize the places where we took those pics. Although home base is Payson, we (he & wife and I) keep 5th wheel RVs in Eagar at 7k' elev (easternmost AZ for those unaware), where we stay during summer months a few weeks at a time, mostly for all-day off-pavement recreation up to 10k' elev in our Can-Am Maverick Sport Xrc UTVs and sometimes our jeeps. Last season, we discussed taking our R53 there a few nights strictly for some canyon driving and plan on doing that this year.

Definitely looks familiar! When you’re in Eager w the Mini goal 260 out of town then go drive the 261/273 loop (towards Big Lake). It is amazingly beautiful! It will dump you back onto 260 and then you can head W into Pinetop for an excellent steak Dinner at Charlie Clark’s. Or go E back to Eager.

I have a job that takes me all over this state. I love the drive from Show Low to Globe. Takes you through the Salt River Canyon and past Lake Rosevelt.

The Mingus pass from Cottonwood, through Jerome and into Prescott Vally is nice and twisty.

And the drive from Prescott to Wickenberg is incredible too.

Arizona is a beautiful place. I’m lucky to get to see so much of it

This being our 5th season in Eagar, I/we know all those pave (and unpaved) roads quite well. Locals call the White Mountains "The Other Arizona" for good reasons! Paved/unpaved well into New Mexico too. Actually, first season 6 yrs ago was camping in former travel trailers at Big Lake and the year before that on former 2014 BMW R1200RTw moto on a long day ride from Payson, around Big Lake to Alpine and back home again. Also know the road from Gerome to Prescott Valley over Mingus Mountain and adjacent areas west such as around the mining village of Bagdad AZ from those rides. After 50+ yrs continuous motorcycle ownership, sold that last one in 2017.
