- Anthracite Headliner (with sunroof) in Southeastern USA

A headsup alert for any deepsouth minimaniacs who've been wanting an anthracite headliner, just got back from my semi-local LKQ pick-your-part in Chattanooga to get a few bits and they had a fairly fresh R53 (M45 still untouched too) fitted with that sorta rare option and looked to be in good shape with all the trim fittings intact.

It also had the Chrono Pack.

Also,
they have an R50 with the red inner panels,
plus some funky red cloth seats too,
and factory mudflaps as well.

And
in the standby lot they had an Alfa Spider sitting all by its lonesome away from all the others, noticed it had Wilwood calipers,
the guys said it was due to hit the yard tomorrow but who knows...

Oooh!
So what did you bring home???
Do tell!
Chatenooga's a bit of a drive for me but seeing that an R53 hasn't hit any of the yards down this way in over a year almost makes me want to take the drive up.
Any mods on that car that you could see?

Boring really, all I needed was a rear bumper lower section trim bit, and grabbed the side indicators too, was glad it was still virtually untouched since it had been sitting there for over a week, was kinda pressed for time because it was a side trip thing when going to visit my aunt in Rossville.

It was totally stock from what I could see, had a pretty bad front smash.

Damn that sucks, I suppose the radiator support is toast. Wonder how much they want for all the red interior bits...did you ask?

Yeah,
took me forever to find a good factory rad support because so many junkyard cars have frontal impact, and what's really infuriating is when it is actually all good but some chump has come along to tear out the M45 and in their hamfisted hurry has destroyed it while clumsily getting front end mode activated, really really gripes me out to see that, them things is too damn fragile LOL that's why I was so surprised that the supercharger was still there because non-Mini people know about them and usually that's the first thing grabbed from an R53.

Did not ask about the red bits,
but their site lists $21.99 for front interior door panel...

https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/pric...Mjg2My4wLjAuMA..

...so,
it'd likely be in that general ballpark for each piece,
and must be mindful at checkout to tell them that you don't want a warranty because they always try to slide the extra charge in stealthily without saying that they are doing so, even on the non-mechanical parts which is friggin' ridiculous LOL like why would I want a warranty on a door panel?

BTW

...while I got you here ~ ~ ~

y'all got a paint shop down there doncha?

Are y'all currently still active in business?

If so, could you give me a rough estimate on a complete re-paint?

I am in need and was planning just to do a wrap this summer because from researching online it seems big money these days for a decent job due to material costs inflation and I simply cannot afford a $5,000+ paint job...

...but if a quality re-paint can be done within my budget I'd much much much prefer that instead of a wrap.

The car requires a good bit of prep with multiple various places that need sanded and smoothing, I intend to do the prep work myself for the wrap because it's the same deal as painting for a good wrap you gotta have good prep, but I'm a total noob and if y'all could do it would rather have an experienced professional tackle that, includes stuff like filling in antenna hole because I'm going radio delete as well as fill in for front emblem holes...

...and color change the roof from black to a Nardo Greyish.

Car is Pepper White and I've heard (from a painter I met in the junkyard who was a Mini dude!) that PW has really good coverage whatever that may mean because I was questioning him about single-stage as opposed 2-stage because I don't really like the clear coat and was wondering if I could do single-stage instead --- he told me not to and recommended dual stage, do you have any input or advice regarding that aspect?

Thanks!
