AC Compressor ?

Hi all

I have a 2005 r52. I recently evacuated the refrigerant from the AC system, And had it recharged to factory spec. At an ambient temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit the low side pressure is 35, and the high side is between 225 and 260, it goes down to 225 when the fan runs and then back up to 260.

I had the car idling in the driveway with the AC on full blast (it was nice and cold) and I noticed the compressor ran continuously, it did not cycle on and off.

Can anyone tell me if the compressor should cycle? Or is it normal for it to run continuously?

thanks!

As everybody told ya on that Facebook group - it is perfectly fine for these compressors. They do not cycle.

Most modern ac compressor vary the vanes instead of turning the clutch on and off. If its turning on and off you have an over or under pressure issue.
