AC Compressor ?

Hi all

I have a 2005 r52. I recently evacuated the refrigerant from the AC system, And had it recharged to factory spec. At an ambient temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit the low side pressure is 35, and the high side is between 225 and 260, it goes down to 225 when the fan runs and then back up to 260.

I had the car idling in the driveway with the AC on full blast (it was nice and cold) and I noticed the compressor ran continuously, it did not cycle on and off.

Can anyone tell me if the compressor should cycle? Or is it normal for it to run continuously?

thanks!

Your compressor, when on, should run continuously. Compressed air is cold hence your A/C. It does have a clutch that allows the pulley to turn freely when off and reduce drag.
