Shouldn't the pump continue to pressurize the fuel rail even if the car isn't running?
Believe it only charges it once you turn the key to ON position but only runs it long enough to reach design pressure then shuts the fuel pump off. Won't continuously run thereafter until car starts or run at all until you recycle the key back to the ON position; believe it's a safety design feature to prevent pressurized fuel from continuously flowing in the event of a crash.
