Intake Manifold Stud Cylinder Head Replacement

Hey all I recently started doing a head replacement job in hopes if installing the new RMW BVH. I was watching MOD MINI's video about the head gasket and he was just removing the intake manifold to remove the head. As I was removing the intake manifold bolts, the bolts weren't coming out but the stud was. I basically removed the bolts but the bolts did not come out of the stud and so they are stuck together. I do not know what to do right now since most of the studs are out. I do not know how to install the studs. Please help thanks.

I put mine back in they way they came out.
I think you install new studs with lock tight but be careful not to bottom them out.

thats the thing the stud is stuck to the bolt. I can hold both stud and bolt in my hand. But I don’t know how to install it. I also don’t know how to separate both stud and bolt from each other because I want to use the bolts

I assume you mean you have a NUT stuck to the STUD.The nut was frozen to the stud and the stud screwed out instead of the nut coming off?
Have you tried soaking the offending part(s) /stud with penetrating oil and maybe double nutting (or triple nutting) the opposite end of the stud to try and remove the stuck nut?
It may work since you have the stud in hand and out of the block.
Sounds like your in the process of building a Mini beast
Hope all goes well!

This works, but...
It only works if you know which stud came from which location, otherwise there may be a discrepancy in the actual length from the end of the stud to the frozen nut, which could cause a less than perfect seal of the stud bottoms out early.

Best to use the double nut and penetrating solution process mentioned above and get the nuts off the studs.
Then use the same double nut process to re-install the studs to the Head.
(Don't tighten them with much torque, our heads are actually a fairly soft aluminum in comparison to many, this is why they crack and warp so easily. Last thing you want to do is strip them in the Head and cause more work.)

And copper spray the gasket no matter what, to help with a good seal.
I use it on both the intake to head gasket and the intake to I/C horn gasket.
