Brake question

I figured it would be easier to ask in a different thread so here goes.
I took the brakes off this weekend when I installed the new bearings and noticed a few odd things.
1: I did not see any brake wear indicator cables attached to the pads, does a base R50 not have them?
2: I see brake pad kits that have the stainless steel slide thingys the brake pad slides on and some do not. My car did not have any of them on any of the pads. Are they supposed to be on there?

The rears were looking a little worn and as I was looking at parts that’s what has me interested that maybe someone took them off and didn’t install or something. I just want it to be safe and correct.

thanks!

Well of course not.. But I just did and it is not showing any of the stainless slides. It also shows the sensor cables but shaded out and not showing the number on the parts list.
I guess I was just worrying about nothing.
