R50/53 Need advice: Should I buy R50 w/CVT 155k
Need advice: Should I buy R50 w/CVT 155k
I am scheduled to look at an 2004 R50 w/CVT that has 155k on it. It is said to be very well maintained. It is in great cosmetic shape
I have yet to discuss maintenance schedule nor have seen at any maintenance documents that may be available yet.
I guess my question really is, if the trans fluid was changed religiously every 40k or so, is this car worth considering or should I dismiss it out of hand?
Thanks
Jack

No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No No No. I love auto's. I prefer them actually but THAT auto is absolutely a piece of trash , stay far far away from it...it wasn't strong enough for even the standard cooper none less the S
My CVT car is at 100,000 miles and it is fine. They aren’t perfect but BMW didn’t go with CVT’s without testing. Several had the failure but I’m not afraid. Of course, OTOH, I always change fluid at 35,000 miles.
