I recently read the 2002-2003 models only had two but I can’t confirm that.

My 2003 MCS (built 12/02), has 4 ABS sensors.

Based on the OP's description of left front and passenger rear, he may have been looking at the brake pad sensors.

I know the difference between brake pad sensors and ABS sensors ; already replaced right-rear sensor & all the pads /rotors / plus upgraded to JCW (R56) calipers but, still did not correct the Trifecta.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I was just trying to help.

Is it dropping any codes along with the fault lights? My ABS sensor went bad, and when I scanned the car the reader noted it as front left. Just checking.

No problem , the scanner I am using is a

Professional BMW/MINI/Rolls Royce Elite Scan Tool but, it does not indicate which side ABS sensor is bad? I think Foxwell makes this tool.

Finally able to figure out the Foxwell NT 510 for testing all four ABS sensors (live data all tested good). Reset Steering Angle Sensor to 0 -degrees turning off TPMS light. Only thing still lit is the DSC/ASC light which indicates code 5E1 6/NOT PRESENT, which is the DSC module.

You can change that module without removing the mechanical side of the ABS module. It saves a lot of work. Three screws the connector is all. They are $30 used on eBay if you need ti go inexpensive.
