Need electrical help...suggestions for testing

Help! My son took his 2004 R-50 into BMW to fix the electric power steering pump and fan (a factory recall to replace fan and pump). They kept the car for about three weeks, than called us back to say they couldn't find the electrical problem. They offered to track it down for an estimate of $500.
This past weekend, we removed the power steering and all components (pump, fan, reservoir, hoses) and replaced the system with a "delete kit," available from UROTuning. Also removed the 100 amp fuse located under the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment, as per their instructions. While removing the power steering system, I unhooked the battery. Job compleated, I re-hooked the battery again.
NOW> Car has no tach, speedometer, ac/heat cluster lights, head lights. Engine starts and runs fine, parking lights, brake lights work, turn singles, flashers OK. Not sure about the radiator fan, because I haven't driven it far enough to heat up the engine. All fuses are OK. HOWEVER there are several which have no power.
Can anyone suggest next steps to find the loss of power to several components? If I cannot get the guages working, this car will end up in the junk yard. Still has life in it with 177,000 miles, but not without functioning lights/guages, tach, speedometer.
Thanks for all suggestions.
Stumped.

check for loose grounds?

also the tach on these cars can take out much else when they go bad. See wiring diagrams.

also I suck at electrical issues
