Bigger intercooler needed?

Back for more.. did the 2% crank pulley, 15% supercharger pulley, colder iridium plugs, new wires,180degree t stat, new water pump, supercharger oil, new radiator, hoses, mini rad fluid with water wetter various seals and so on moly oil, do I need a bigger intercooler? I have the 6 speed manual with militek cat back exhaust and JCW airbox ? Finishing up the 100k rebuild was wondering if car will run hot or am I ok with these “safe” mods? Thanks as always-E

Did you measure the IATs? The "rule" which I see is that a 15% pulley does not need a bigger intercooler. But I also think that depends on driving style.

I bought the hobo intercooler not too long ago and I am very happy with it (good bang for buck mod imho). Keeps the IATs quite low and takes a while to heatsoak.

If you spend long periods of time with the pedal on the floor, and/or live in a hot climate, then you might benefit from a bigger intercooler. In stop-and-go traffic the bigger intercooler will heatsoak, and will take considerably longer to recover than the stock one. And you will lose some boost too with the bigger IC. The hobo intercooler is cheap enough to give it a try and see if it fits your needs. Personally I've had a GRS and an Airtec, and went back to stock. I also have a bigger scoop, it helps a bit. Running a -17% pulley along with other mods.

One of the best option is the GP intercooler, but it cost almost the same as a RMW head now... so I cannot recommend it, might as well just get the head at this point.

There's cheaper options with mixed results, but if it's just a street car, I wouldn't think too much about it. If you track it, might as well invest in water injection.

If you are not tracking your car, can't imagine why you would upgrade the intercooler. Even then, it's not a huge benefit. Instead of vague narratives, ask for data. Chances are there will be no data.
