bolts

Can someone please link me the part number for the passenger side upper motor support bracket bolts? The four that go into the head. I've looked around on wmw, ecs, and pelican, but on ecs site is says it doesn't fit my vehicle. 2004 r53 Thanks

Thanks. Had one stretch. I could feel it wasn’t getting to the point were the torque wrench would click so I stopped and backed it out. The top threads were all stretched out.

This is what it looks like, but I’m not the original owner so I don’t know if the wrong bolts were previously used, however , when I use the part number from the realoem site and plug it into ecs it says it doesn’t fit vehicle. Could I use any M12 bolt that’s the proper length? The one I have is a M12 8.8 and 93-94 stretched.

The bolt you have displayed is an M12x85 (if it's #2 in the illustration).

Yes, that’s the bolts I ordered dispute esc site saying it doesn’t fit my car. Crazy expensive for a bolt, I ordered 6 so I have 2 backups for down the road. I put the one next to the stretched one in that I picked up at Lowe’s. It’s a 10.9 hardness in lieu of an 8.8. Just to hold (not driving) until new ones arrive. I imagine they used 8.8 for a reason, guessing harder would be too brittle for motor vibration.

Just so you know, the M10x20 bolts (#10 on the illustration) I referenced are for the bottom engine bracket (attached to the oil pan). Ace Hardware is a great place to buy hardened Grade 8 bolts - great selection also.

I have all three Vibra-Technics mounts I seriously thought about putting in the bolts from Lowe’s, they had 8.8 too, because of the price (I paid $66 for six OEM bolts) is crazy.

I was totally shocked when I first got my car and when first doing refresh I wanted to replace the somewhat rusty valve cover bolts with new shiny ones and YOWZA!!! did the asking price flip my lid.

Above screenshot is an extreme example of pricing, but I did shell out $129 for a full set and it made me feel very foolish.

Since then whenever I go to the junkyard those bolts are always something I inspect and grab if they're in good nick, most are not but a good few are still minty fresh and I now have a good hoard of them.

And,
I was absolutely stunned with horror when I changed out my pass. side motor mount and saw what the bolt looked like,
had to buy one of those too...

Fixed that on the site. Sorry about that. #2 M12X85 , dont see anything in exact match that we carry in aftermarket, just checked some supplier. That bolt has a contour section

On the valve covers mine did the same thing and corroded. We have some other lower cost options https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/11121487179/
