does it make the pop with the window out? if it does its probably the regulator

if it pops is with the window in (but not out) it might be the window hitting the cables. make sure the cables are in the clips and the clips are closed

one of mine makes a click also. its the design of the regulator, slack in the cables...

Aftermarket regulator or oem?

Did you secure the cables back to the correct spots?

Thats where I'm sure you are getting the pop from. You should have extra from old regulator.

Yes if those top white clips aren’t secure it will make that noise you’re describing

I replaced the window regulator with anther new one and it still pops when it is all the way up at the top, also when the door is opened and then closed it goes down then up like it supposed to then pops. I will check the white clips again but when they where put in i put them in correctly. I am at a loss after two regulators and still pops.

Regards

Does it pop when operating the window with the door open as well as when the door is closed?

The loud pop does it with the door is open as well with the door closed, when it pops you can see the cables inside the door jump as well. It only pops when the window is all the way up.

Start by troubleshooting. If you installed to cover, take it off and see if you can pinpoint where the popping is coming from by listening for the pop while the window is moving.

Mine started to do the same thing,an alarmingly loud pop right as the window reaches the top of its travel, door open or closed.

My cable retention clips are also toast so I'm thinking thats a likely cause, but I haven't taken it apart to check yet.

Keep us posted.

I'm not sure if this helps, but if you haven't done it, give it a shot.
Reset the window limits - press the window switch down & hold it for 30 seconds, then up & hold for 30 seconds.
See if it makes any difference!

If it clicks after the window lands, is the cables, slack in the cables. It’s the regulator itself that is “broken”

There’s a spring on the cables, you know the one? It should be compressed to take up slack in the cables...keeps it all together and quite...

I’m not sure I am helping you

i have the same problem, you need to align the window when it’s up and closing the door, follow the pelican walk thru, or it will stay popping

That’s gotta be it. I replaced my passenger side today and the two white retaining clips were broken away from the door. And it popped when I assisted the window up with the old regulator.
